Captains are volunteers who regularly plan fun and interesting events in their area, and make sure everybody who attends feels welcome. They don't have to be a professional event planner, just someone who loves bringing people together - And we’re counting on you to help us find more of them :) As this role focuses on our US community, your working hours will be aligned with US time zones. You should therefore look to work from 18:00 to 21:00 CET, in special cases even later, and/or around noon, when it's morning in the US. TasksRecruiting new Community Captains, including independently managing the entire recruitment process for Captains (identification, outreach, interviews, selection). Guiding and supporting new Captains as they get started (onboarding, clarifying expectations, ensuring successful first meetings). Monitor the development of our Captains Community and help us draw conclusions for the next actions. Lead newcomer calls.
