At Stark, we forge the future of European and national security through cutting-edge, AI-driven technology and unmatched engineering precision. As a premier defence technology company, our mission is clear: to equip NATO Allies and their partners with next-generation autonomous defence platforms and advanced AI-driven software built to perform in the world’s most demanding environments.
We believe that true security stems from relentless innovation. By combining elite engineering talent with agile technology and an AI-native operational culture, Stark turns complex defence challenges into field-tested, multi-domain solutions.
Why Join Us?
The software and systems you work on directly protect personnel and defend European and national sovereignty.
You will work alongside industry-leading minds on autonomous systems, advanced propulsion, and secure cyber platforms.
We foster a fast-paced, collaborative environment where bold ideas are supported by serious R&D backing.
Your Mission
You own configuration management for our unmanned systems, from the first baseline to the unit in the customer's hands. You set and hold the baselines, run change control with the engineering teams, and keep every drawing, document and software release traceable to the product it describes. You join a new configuration management team in Systems Engineering that is growing, with room for you to take on more responsibility.
The role sits between systems engineering, hardware and software development, production, quality and logistics support. Our products move from design iteration to series production quickly and under the scrutiny of defence customers and authorities, so you build configuration management that holds up in a customer audit and keeps pace with engineering.
Responsibilities
Configuration management governance
Own the configuration management plan and process in line with SAE EIA-649C, ISO 10007 and STANAG 4427, and tailor them per product and customer.
Teach engineers to raise, assess and close changes themselves, so you are not needed at every step.
Work closely with engineers so their work meeting configuration standards.
Identification and baselines
Define configuration items, part numbering and product structure in our PLM system.
Establish the functional, allocated and product baselines at the design reviews and keep them under control.
Keep the as-designed, as-planned and as-built configuration traceable for every serial number.
Change control
Sit on the change control board as the configuration authority and run the review of engineering change requests.
Assess every change for its impact on drawings, documents, manuals, training material and safety assessments.
Track change actions to closure, so no outdated drawing or document reaches production or the field.
Status accounting and audits
Release the configuration item data list at each baseline and keep status accounting current.
Build up functional and physical configuration audits with Production and Quality.
Keep the configuration record ready for customer and authority audits at any time.
Documentation and data release
Own the document management system: document lifecycle, sign-off and revision control.
Work closely with technical authors, and write documentation yourself where needed.
Release the engineering bill of materials to Production and track which document revision each customer holds.
Release technical data packages to customers and partners.
