About Hilo by AktiiaHigh blood pressure is the world's most common disease, causing 18M deaths each year. At Hilo by Aktiia, we're building a world where no lives are lost to its effects — with technology that helps people take control of their health.
We're a venture-backed scale-up with $96M raised from investors in Europe and the US. Rooted in 18 years of research at the Swiss Center for Electronics and Microtechnology (CSEM), our device is the world's only medically accurate, cuffless, continuous blood pressure monitor for daily use — clinically validated and CE Marked as a Class IIa medical device, now available in 12 countries. In July, we launched in the US.
We're a remote-first company headquartered in Neuchâtel, Switzerland, united by our passion for impact and innovation. Applicants must already hold a valid visa or work permit for their country of residence, as Hilo is not able to provide visa sponsorship.
Role overviewUX is our number one priority. As a Series B scale-up, we are investing heavily in the product experience, and you will be central to it. You will own our biggest new product bets: new features, health insights and early vision work across the app. You will bring ideas to life fast, with polished high-fidelity prototypes and motion, then take them to a shipped result.
You will report directly to our Head of Design and work with product and engineering every day. Alongside you are a Lead Product Designer and a Lead UX Writer, who keep the whole product consistent and high quality.
You will have real ownership on a health product people use every day, in a business-critical role where UX is our top priority. You join a team with high talent density, people who raise your game, and a shared focus on speed, clarity and craft.
Location: Fully remote, open to candidates across the UK and Europe.

How you workAI first — You'd rather show a working thing than describe one.Builder — You ship, starting from nothing if you have to.Bias for action — You don't need to be told what to do or be chased. You spot what could go wrong, pick the one that matters most and fix it.Disciplined — Tokens, not screenshots. Decision logs, not memories.Curious — You want to know why, not just what.Clear under pressure — Medical regulation and different market rules are design problems, not excuses. This isn't for you ifYou need a finished brief, all the requirements or all the research before you start. You measure screens shipped, not outcomes moved. You'd rather list risks than own one.How we hireRecruiter screen (30 min)Portfolio interview with the Head of Design (60 min)Product thinking and interaction design deep diveCross-functional conversation with design engineers and product
