At our company, FP&A doesn't grow with the volume of work, but with its impact on the business. Data preparation, variance commentary and standard reports belong to automation and agents. Our people's time belongs to what machines can't do: judgment, model logic, challenge and decisions. If an additional hire enables significantly more impact, we grow. But never to absorb manual work that is better built than distributed. You are the first dedicated hire in FP&A, start as an Individual Contributor and work directly with the CFO and management. Our existing models and tools have grown organically and are partly manual. You understand them, keep what works, rebuild the rest and automate consistently. With AI agents, you build the leverage that elsewhere would take an entire team. Outlook: The path to Head of FP&A is open, but not planned for the short term. Your responsibility grows with the impact you create, not with team size. Your responsibilitiesAs the Senior Manager / Lead FP&AI (m/w/d), you will drive financial planning, analysis, and artificial intelligence initiatives to support our growing operations. Rebuild the FP&A foundation: current-state assessment, target architecture, budget, rolling forecast and multi-year planning Build and maintain integrated, driver-based financial models (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) for projects, the portfolio and the group, including multi-entity planning and intercompany Develop the KPI framework and prepare management, board, investor and bank reporting with clear recommendations for action Run scenario and sensitivity analyses and conduct deep dives on investments, financing, pricing and portfolio prioritization Build and operate agentic AI workflows for forecasting, anomaly detection, variance commentary and reporting, incl. guardrails and governance Close collaboration with the Data Team: you bring the finance logic and are the most demanding user of the data Evaluate and implement suitable FP&A tools and manage tool and AI costs (FinOps) Preferred QualificationsAt least 5+ years of experience in FP&A, controlling or strategic finance, ideally in a high-growth, complex environment Very good financial modeling skills (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) and understanding of complex financial and intercompany structures Experience in rebuilding or redesigning planning and reporting processes, as well as with planning and BI tools Hands-on mentality and enjoyment in building structures yourself Strong communication skills: you convince management, investors, banks and business functions Ideally you bring: Energy sector experience, ideally solar/renewables, or other project-based business models Multi-entity planning, intercompany and investor/bank reporting Good German language skills Experience with Claude or other AI coding tools and agentic workflows In addition, we value the following skills: Tech affinity: You see new tools and AI as leverage, not as a threat Openness to change: You approach change positively and with agility Impact mindset: For every analysis, you ask which decision it enables, and for every task: "Does a human need to do this, and where does it create the greatest impact?"
